Graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana,
where he obtained his master’s degree in 2002 with the thesis "The Impact of Diabetic Neuropathy on Walking Ability." In 2004, he passed the specialist exam in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. In 2009, he earned his PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana with the dissertation "The Impact of Foot Orthoses on Pressure and Pain in the Feet and Walking in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis."
Since 2002, he has been employed at the Soča University Rehabilitation Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, where, since 2007, he has served as the head of the department for rehabilitation of patients after injuries, with rheumatic diseases, and with peripheral nerve disorders. From 2016 to 2023, he was the assistant medical director.
The main focus of his clinical work is the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with peripheral nervous system and musculoskeletal system disorders. As part of his outpatient work, he also performs ultrasound diagnostics of the musculoskeletal system.
Since 2012, he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. He is the main and direct mentor for residents specializing in physical and rehabilitation medicine, and a direct mentor to residents in neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, rheumatology, and family medicine.
As a specialist physician and mentor, he is accredited by the European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
He serves as the chair and member of specialist examination boards for physical and rehabilitation medicine, and as a member of examination boards for family medicine and occupational, traffic, and sports medicine.
He is also a supervisory physician at the Medical Chamber of Slovenia.
He publishes the results of his scientific research in international peer-reviewed journals with impact factor, as well as in domestic professional journals, for which he also serves as a reviewer. His personal bibliography includes over 180 entries, including eleven articles in international journals with impact factor, six of which he authored as the first author.
