Janja Štavar is a licensed physiotherapist who began working in sports and rehabilitation during her studies.
She gained early experience with a local handball club, the Slovenian national cadet men’s handball team, and both the men’s and women’s national floorball teams. She also worked as a handball coach for children aged 6 to 10.
Since 2021, she has been part of the interdisciplinary team at the Rehabo Center (Divača, Slovenia). Her work primarily focuses on shoulder injury rehabilitation and guiding athletes through the transition from general rehabilitation to sport-specific loading. She plays a key role in preparing athletes for a safe and effective return to sports.
Recently, her work at Rehabo has involved close collaboration with sport climbers and handball players. She combines expertise in physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, and preventive exercise, working with individuals of all ages and physical capabilities.
