Lana Jović

Born 01.05.1993 in Koper, Slovenia. Physiotherapist, previously a semi-professional volleyball player, volleyball coach.

Graduated in physiotherapy in May of 2017, from Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana, with a final thesis “Training programs for prevention of lower limb injuries in girls in indoor team sports: literature review”.

In 2022 earned a master’s degree in physiotherapy from Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana, with the final thesis titled “Effect of Fifa 11+ program on physical performance of young volleyball players”.

Worked as physiotherapist for Slovenian Universiade 2019 team in Naples, Italy.

Internship in 2017/18 in Izola General Hospital.

Works in trauma department of Izola General Hospital as well as outpatient care. Specialises in young, semi-professional and professional athletes knee rehabilitation.

Our hospital was founded in 1909 as a sanatoryum for bone diseases for the Austro-Hungarian Empire. After World War I it was renovated by the American Red Cross. In 1920 it was taken over by the Italian Red Cross and after WW II Valdoltra became part of Yugoslavian health systeme. It turned to orthopaedics and in early 1961 was renamed Valdoltra Orthopaedic Hospital.
