Dr. Marko Nabergoj is a Slovenian orthopaedic surgery specialist with a strong clinical and academic focus on shoulder surgery.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Ljubljana with distinction, followed by residency and specialization at Valdoltra Orthopaedic Hospital, where he currently practices. His international training includes fellowships and exchanges in renowned centers such as Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, Hôpital Sud in Grenoble, and with Dr. Alexandre Lädermann in Geneva.
Dr. Nabergoj has made significant scholarly contributions, having authored or co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and four book chapters, mainly focused on shoulder pathology and arthroplasty. He has also participated in numerous conferences, both as a speaker and organizer, including co-organizing the 2023 Shoulder Symposium in Valdoltra. His research has been published in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, EFORT Open Reviews, and Orthopaedics & Traumatology: Surgery & Research. In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Nabergoj is a peer reviewer for scientific journals (EFORT Open Reviews, Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, Seminars in arthroplasty, JSES).
