Dr. Tomaž Malovrh is an orthopedic trauma surgeon at the Department of Traumatology,
University Medical Centre Ljubljana, and a faculty member at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, in 2000 and earned his PhD in 2011 from the same institution. He completed his specialization in traumatology in 2008.
Working at a Level 1 Trauma Center, he is involved daily in the care and treatment of injured patients. His main areas of expertise include the treatment of knee joint injuries and conditions, as well as the prevention and management of sports injuries. He has undergone additional training and has actively participated in numerous conferences and courses both in Slovenia and internationally.
As the director of the organizing committee, he has played an important role for many years in the organization of the annual International Course of Arthroscopic Techniques, held under the patronage of ESSKA and organized by SSAST (Slovenian Society for Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Injuries). He is also a faculty member of AO Trauma / AO Foundation, the world’s largest international educational network in the field of trauma care.
