In 2006, I graduated from the University of Ljubljana, College of Health Sciences, majoring in physiotherapy.
Since then, I have also been permanently employed at the Novo mesto General Hospital and most of my work is done with orthopaedic and traumatological patients with pathologies of the knee, hip, shoulder, foot and spine joints. About a thousand surgeries are performed annually in the orthopaedic department, which allows me to constantly progress and follow the innovations in surgical techniques and consequently rehabilitation. After my education in London on the topic of "Rapid recovery", I have been participating and co-creating preoperative lectures for patients from the very beginning, as part of which I have also prepared video content for early rehabilitation after various surgeries at the Novo mesto General Hospital. I regularly adjust and update protocols according to novelties and needs, and I do my work both in the ward and in the outpatient clinic in early postoperative treatment.
I am a member of the Association of Physiotherapists of Slovenia and I am regularly educated in the field of orthopedics, especially in manual techniques, where I am most interested in fascial treatment after injuries and diseases of the locomotor system.
